Amazon Australia FBA Calculator
Every FBA calculator on the internet is built for amazon.com — US dollars, US fees, no GST anywhere. This one runs Amazon.com.au's published referral and fulfilment rates, takes GST out properly, and gives you a break-even ACoS you can compare straight against your Amazon Ads console.

Both fields are prefilled from Amazon's published Australian schedule, read on 2 August 2026. Leave them blank to use those rates. If your Seller Central fee preview disagrees, trust Seller Central and type the real number here.

The two things Australian sellers get wrong
GST is not margin. If you're registered, a $39.95 sale isn't $39.95 of revenue — it's $36.32, and $3.63 belongs to the ATO. Sellers who skip this step think they have nine points more margin than they do, which is usually the difference between a campaign that scales and one that quietly loses money at 30% ACoS.
The referral fee is charged on the full amount the buyer paid. Not on your ex-GST revenue, and not on the item price alone — Amazon calculates it on the total sales price including delivery and gift wrapping. So GST comes out of your side of the ledger while the referral fee is still charged on the gross. Both things are true at once, and the calculator models them that way.
Why the break-even ACoS here looks different
ACoS is ad spend ÷ ad sales, and Amazon Ads reports those sales at the price the customer paid — GST included. A break-even ACoS worked out against ex-GST revenue is a real number, but it isn't the number on your dashboard, and comparing the two puts you about 9% out in the direction that costs money.
This calculator strips GST to find genuine unit profit, then divides that profit by the console's sales basis. The result is directly comparable to the ACoS column you're actually looking at. Break-even CPC follows from it: at a 10% conversion rate you get one sale per ten clicks, so the most you can pay per click is one tenth of the profit that sale produces.
Where the fee numbers come from
The referral rates for all 29 Amazon.com.au categories and the full FBA fulfilment schedule are read from Amazon's own published pricing page, dated on the tool above. They are prefilled, not hardcoded into the maths — every rate is editable, and if a weight falls outside a published band the calculator says so instead of inventing a figure. Amazon changes these rates. Check your Seller Central fee preview before committing real budget to a number from any calculator, this one included.
Returns are modelled bluntly: a returned unit refunds the sale and its landed cost isn't recovered. That's an assumption about your business, not an Amazon fee — set it to zero if you'd rather see clean unit economics.
What are the Amazon Australia referral fees?
Referral fees on Amazon.com.au run from 6% to 15% depending on category — 13% for Home and Kitchen, 8% for Consumer Electronics, 15% for Media, 6% for Video Game Consoles, with several categories using a different rate above or below a price threshold. The calculator has all 29 categories built in from Amazon's published schedule as at 2 August 2026, and every rate stays editable.
How much is FBA in Australia?
It depends on size tier and weight, not on price — from $4.55 for a small envelope up to about $13.93 for a 12 kg parcel. Amazon also charges a lower rate on items priced under $13. Parcel and oversize items are billed on the greater of unit weight and dimensional weight (length × width × height ÷ 4000), which is why a light but bulky product often costs more to ship than sellers expect.
Does GST come out of my Amazon Australia sales?
If you're registered for GST, the price the buyer pays is GST-inclusive and one eleventh of it goes to the ATO — so your real revenue is the price ÷ 1.1. Registration is compulsory once your turnover hits $75,000. Sellers below that threshold and not registered keep the full price. Getting this one step wrong overstates margin by about 9%, which is the single most common error in Australian FBA maths.
Do Amazon's fees include GST?
No. Amazon publishes all Australian fees excluding GST, and this calculator uses them that way. Whether GST is then charged on top of your seller fees, and whether you can claim it back as an input tax credit, depends on your ABN and registration status — that part is genuinely specific to your circumstances, so confirm it with your accountant rather than with a calculator.
Why is the break-even ACoS calculated on the GST-inclusive price?
Because that's the number Amazon Ads reports. The console records sales at the amount the customer paid, GST included. If you work out a break-even ACoS against ex-GST revenue and then compare it to the ACoS on your dashboard, you're comparing two different denominators and you'll be roughly 9% out. This calculator removes GST to work out true profit, then expresses the answer against the console's sales figure so the two are directly comparable.
Is this the same as Amazon's Revenue Calculator?
It overlaps, but it answers a different question. Amazon's tool gives you a fee estimate for a product. This one carries the numbers through to advertising: what ACoS breaks even, what you can pay per click, and what those become once you want to keep a specific margin. It also handles GST and returns, which fee estimators generally don't.
